It is certainly false economy to place a new high quality mattress on top of an old base, especially an old sprung edge base because over the years the old base will have worn and probably developed 'hollows' across the surface. Your new mattress in time will mould to these hollows reducing the comfort and the overall life expectancy. Old springs and new springs just do not work together. A good base will emphasise the comfort of your mattress and help sustain the correct sleeping surface for many years to come.

Nubases have been specially designed to complement the NUBed mattresses to help emphasize and enhance the level of comfort and support available

  1. The Slatted Wood surface is more suited to those people who prefer the mattress to have a firmer feel. Depth 35cm including the castor.
  2. The Pocket Sprung surface has between 540 (single) to 1080 (super king) Posturfil springs depending on the size selected helping to create a more sumptuous feeling as these springs work in harmony with the springs in the mattress above. Depth 36 cm including the castor.
  3. An attractive Buccara woven fabric is used to upholster the bases. Available colours are Natural (Lt.Beige), Chocolate, Sahara (Lt.Sand), Mink (Taupe) and Oatmeal (Cream) to suit most bedroom decor. Please note that the actual colours can vary slightly from the colours shown in the image above. Should you wish to see a cutting of a particular shade then this can be arranged
  4. We are now also able to supply a NuHeadboard in the same fabric as used for the base. Please see the image above showing the headboard design. Please note that our headboards are made to fit our NuBases and not other manufacturers bed bases.
