Payment Options & How to Order

Having chosen your new mattress plus any other product you can now order and make your payment by using one of the following 5 options:

  1. Online
    After placing an order the following page will show your 'Shopping Cart Contents'. Please check the details and if correct click the 'Check Out' button at the bottom of the page which will take you to the next page where you will be requested to either regsiter your personal details for invoicing purposes OR if you are returning customer you can enter your e-mail address and password to login.
    You will then be shown the page headed 'Step 1 of 3' listing your address details and requesting the Delivery Method that you wish to be used for your order. Having checked that your address details are correct, please proceed to the following page headed 'Step 2 of 3' offering various methods of Payment.
    At the top of this page you are requested to TICK a box confirming that you have read the Terms & Conditions bound to your order.  Having then checked that the final amount due is correct please select which payment method you wish to use to pay for your order and then proceed to the following page headed 'Step 3 of 3'.
    On this page you will be shown your Order Confirmation.  If all the details are correct please click the 'Confirm the Order' button at the bottom of the page.

    If you have selected to pay by either credit or debit card you will be guided to the secure page on the PROTX site where you select the type of card that you wish to use to make your payment.
  2. Email
    Should you wish to use this method then please email your order to info@mattressfirst.co.uk or fill in the Contact Form within the Contact Us page, stating all the necessary details of the product(s) you wish to order.

    PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD DETAILS WHEN EMAILING.

    Since introducing the 3D Secure card authorisation system we are unable to accept credit/debit card details over the phone and therefore request you to send a cheque made payable to MATTRESSFIRST. Please see the box below for full details. The goods will be despatched as soon as the cheque has been cleared through the bank, which normally takes 6 working days.
  3. Phone
    Please contact our sales line on 0845 003 9565. Office opening hours 9.30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Should we be unavailable when you call then please leave a short message on our answering service including a few details about your enquiry so that we may contact you as soon as possible upon our return. This also applies to enquiries received on a Saturday or Sunday. Since introducing the 3D Secure card authorisation system we are unable to accept credit/debit card details over the phone as it is not possible for us to carry out the necessary authentication of the card. Payment can be made by cheque, please see the box below for full details. The goods will be despatched as soon as the cheque has been cleared through the bank, which normally takes 6 working days.
  4. Fax
    Please print a copy of the ORDER FORM and enter all the relevant product details as shown by the example. Again credit/debit card payments cannot be accepted when ordering by Fax and we must advise you not to quote any card details when sending a fax. Fax to 0845 003 9585

    Payment by cheque is welcome, please see the box below for full details. The goods will be despatched as soon as the cheque has been cleared through the bank, which normally takes 6 working days.
  5. Post
    Please print a copy of the ORDER FORM or send a standard letter showing all the relevant details of the product(s) that you wish to order accompanied with your cheque for the total amount made payable to MATTRESSFIRST. See the box below for further details. The goods will be despatched as soon as the cheque has been cleared through the bank, which normally takes 6 working days.

    Please do not quote any credit/debit card details when sending an order by post.

    Payment by Cheque
    Please make your cheque payable to Mattressfirst and send it to:

    • Please do not send any cash by post.
    • All credit card purchases will be authorised before the goods are despatched. This is purely for security and anti-fraud purposes enabling us to proceed with your order.
    • All orders paid for by cheque will be despatched immediately we have been notified by the bank that the cheque has been cleared.

Pricing Policy

All prices quoted on this site are correct, however they may be subject to change at our discretion.

Returns & Refund Policy

  1. Upon receipt of your order you will receive an order acknowledgment quoting your order reference code to be used should you wish to contact us with any query regarding your order.
  2. Once payment has been received and cleared we will process and despatch your order immediately.
  3. Should for some reason you wish to cancel your order you may do so up to the point of despatch. If you do cancel the order within this period, any payments made by you will be refunded in full within 30 days from cancellation.
  4. We sincerely hope that you will be pleased with your new purchase from MattressFirst, however should you wish to cancel your order having already taken delivery you have a 7 day period in which to notify us either by email or letter giving full details as to why you wish to take this action.
  5. The goods MUST BE RETURNED TO THE MANUFACTURERS ADDRESS, NOT TO MATTRESSFIRST.  Please contact MattressFirst for the address details.  ALL CHARGES WILL BE FOR THE PURCHASERS ACCOUNT and every care must be taken to ensure that the goods are still in the original packaging and in good condition ready for collection. We cannot be held responsible for any goods that are returned damaged due to poor packaging and would have to make a charge should this be the case. Upon receiving the goods back and after inspection we will then arrange to refund all payments within 30 days less £25.00 to cover the transport cost for returning the goods.
  6. For reasons of hygiene, please note that we are unable to refund and accept the return of any goods that have been unpacked and used unless the goods are proved to be faulty, plus we cannot refund and accept back any goods that have been tailored to your own specification unless they also are proved to be faulty.
  7. Damaged upon arrival.
    Please check very carefully for any damage to the Travel Case or other packaging upon arrival, i.e tears or evidence of being wet. If you are concerned that the product has been damaged then PLEASE SIGN the delivery note accordingly "Received Damaged".

    If the product has been damaged then we can either offer a replacement or offer a complete refund. The damaged product will be uplifted by the carrier at our expense. You must contact MattressFirst either by email or telephone within 24 hours of receiving the goods in order to claim a refund or replacement. We will refund within 30 days.
  8. Faulty goods. Should an item be found to be faulty when opening the packaging or whilst in use we ask that you contact us either by email or telephone to discuss the fault so that the necessary action can be taken resolve the problem. Should the item have to be returned then we will arrange collection at our expense and offer a replacement or total refund. We will refund within 30 days.

We take great care when processing your valued order and sincerely hope that you are fully satisfied with your selected product(s) upon arrival.
However should you have a complaint regarding the product once fully opened and in use then please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our very best to find a solution to the problem as quickly as possible to your utmost satisfaction.
